{real party} Pilot Graham's 2nd Birthday Airplane Party

Climb aboard Fuller Airlines for one sky high party!  Our little Graham turned two (sob) and when planning his party I gave him a few choices.  I asked him if he wanted a 'balls and bubbles' party or an 'airplane' party (both themes are absolute LOVES of our little one) and as you can see he chose "pairplanes" as he calls them.  Party guests were greeted by this fun balloon wreath and sign.
The kiddos got to take home some baggage with their very own personalized luggage tags.

{free printable} Easter Brunch Printables

With Easter being just around the corner I've created this simplistic brunch printable set.  I love the light pale colors and hopefully you'll like them too!  Included in this set: banner (print the banner pages twice or even three times to achieve a longer banner), cupcake toppers/party circles, invitations, and food labels.  The food labels are not pictured, but follow the download link to sneak a peak.

Also, I found these adorable "carrot candy" cupcakes on pinterest and followed the link to Squidoo.  I love the simple design, using orange and green colored candies.  The original poster used M&M's, but I decided to use Starburst Jelly Beans-- keeping with the Easter theme a bit more.  I just LOVE Easter.  Do you have any fun Easter traditions you do with your families?

{free printables} Happy 30th Birthday to me...

I can no longer say I'm in my 20's!  I turned the DIRTY THIRTY this past Sunday and boy did I get spoiled.  My dear hubby knows me all too well.  I guess he should since we've been together 9 years now, but he never ceases to amaze me.  We devoured an assortment of delicious cupcakes from our local Cake Fetish Bake shop-- my fave was the German chocolate with a pecan coconut filling.  YUM!  My friend swears by the lemon cupcake, but to each their own.  I say, "bring on the chocolate!"
Then my sweet husband gave me case for the iPad and surprised me with a cooking class for the two of us this coming Saturday up in Santa Fe.  Luckily my mom will be in town and will take the kiddos so we can have the day to play.
On the menu-- green chile scalloped potatoes and vanilla flan.  I.Can.Not.Wait.
Of course, I can't leave you empty handed.  Why should I be the only one having fun?  Since I'm feeling the love, I've created an itty bitty birthday package just for you.  Included in this package are 6 drink flags, 6 party circles/cupcake toppers and single birthday present gift tag.  Enjoy.  Download HERE

Halloween Cupcakes

This is what my kitchen looked like for two days straight. I'm sure my hubby loved that. I tell you what he did love though-- the fruits of my labor-- cupcakes.
It was my first real time working with fondant and it was surprisingly easy. I bought the pre-made Wilton rolled fondant in white from Michaels and used all of my own stuff to color and cut them. The secret is to have plenty of crisco and confectioners sugar at hand. If your fondant becomes too dry grease your hands up with shortening and it will become soft again. If it becomes too sticky-- add more sugar and you will be able to roll it out smoothly.
My newest favorite items are coloring powder. You add a little to water or some other liquid agent and then you can paint onto the fondant (like watercolors).

I think my next venture into the fondant world is to make an actual cake. But for now, I think the cupcakes turned out darling.
